Awards Season...

So, so far the 2010 awards season has been fairly predictable. I am however surprised by how much praise The King's Speech received at the BAFTAs. I'm sure Colin Firth was deserved his best actor award, but surely the best supporting actor and actress awards should have been awarded to Christan Bale and Melissa Leo for The Fighter. The King's Speech also won the Best Picture category, which in any other ceremony was assured to be won by The Social Network.Out of all these nominations, the only consistent winner was Natalie Portman in the Best Actress category, which in my opinion was the most deserved out of the lot :)
